Concert on the 5th anniversary of the Foundation

On 7th  June 2014 the Royal Łazienki Park in Warsaw hosted another gala event. This year – along with the 5th anniversary of the Prof. Bronisław Geremek Centre Foundation – we celebrated the 10th anniversary of Poland’s accession to the European Union , the 15th anniversary of NATO membership and, most importantly, the 25th anniversary of the elections in June 1989. The audience heard a message from the President of the RP, Bronisław Komorowski. Part of the evening was devoted to the memory of the recently-deceased Premier Tadeusz Mazowiecki.  Actor Wojciech Pszoniak read excerpts from Alfabet Bronisława Geremka. A concert of music was performed by the Zespół Reprezentacyjny ensemble. Elisabeth Duda was the MC.   

Those attending included former European Parliament President Pat Cox, Under-Secretary of State at the Chancellery of the President Jaromir Sokołowski,  French Ambassador Pierre Buhler, Lithuanian Ambassador  Loreta Zakarevičienė, members of the Foundation Council: Marcin Geremek, Adam Daniel Rotfeld, Róża Thun and Maciej Witucki, as well as the Foundation’s  partners.
